Young Thug and other members of his record label “YSL” were accused of running an organized crime gang in Fulton County. Young Thug pled guilty to a list of charges, but not the RICO charge that would have convicted him as the ring leader of an organized crime gang.

The 33 year old rapper walked away with time served and 15 years of probation, but this was no slap on the wrist. Williams must meet a list of probation requirements including: random drug testing, scheduled reporting to a probation officer for the first 7.5 years of his probation, 100 hours of community service, and anti-gang concerts – just to name a few of the requirements.

Judge Paige Reese Whitaker was given the green light to throw the book at Young Thug, however, she chose the opposite. She gave a speech asking Young Thug to use this second chance to speak to the youth – encourage them and warn them about the consequences of gang activity.
